Urban Crew membership FAQ
What is classed as Urban Crew membership?
An Urban Crew membership is either a 1, 3, 6 or 12 month membership. There are up-front options for 1, 3, 6 and 12 months. There are direct debit options for 6 and 12 months. Selected membership types also offer junior, student and gear hire options and combinations of both.
Can I place my membership on hold?
Direct debit memberships can be placed on hold for $5 per week as per your debit success contract. The de-fault maximum term is 6 weeks, special consideration may be given if you contact Urban Climb.
Up-front memberships can be placed on hold for a maximum total of 3 months per membership. The minimum time a membership can be placed on hold is 2 weeks. Special consideration may be given if you contact Urban Climb.
Do Urban Crew members who pay up-front get all the same bonuses as Urban Crew members who pay by the month?
Yes. However the VIP K2 membership is only available to up-front and direct debit 12 month Urban Crew members.

Each month there will be various promotions and free offers for anyone signing up to DD Urban Crew membership. These free offers only apply to NEW 6 or 12 month memberships and only in the month on offer.

Are there any administration charges when I sign up?
Direct debit members will incur a once-off $10 administration fee. Both up-front and direct debit Urban Crew members will incur a $90 induction fee before they can utilise the labs facilities, unless otherwise specified in promotional offers.
What happens if I want to cancel my membership?
There is a cooling off period of 7 days. If you are unhappy with your membership or circumstances change please contact us within 7 days of signing up and we will refund the amount paid less any administration fees. In some instances free offers and gifts given as part of your membership may need to be returned.
Up-front members who cancel their membership after the 7 day cooling off period will incur a $150 cancellation fee.
Direct debit members who wish to cancel before their membership is up and after the 7 day cooling off period will incur a $150 cancellation fee. Full terms and conditions are on the reverse of your Debit Success contract.
Can I transfer my membership to another member?
Up-front members can do this by speaking with Urban Climb staff and (signing a membership transfer form).
Direct debit members can transfer as per terms and conditions on the reverse of your Debit Success contract.
What ways can I pay for Urban Crew membership?
Members who choose to pay up-front can choose to either pay by cash, eftpos, credit card (AMEX and diners excluded) or by cheque (if approved by Urban Climb).
Direct debit members can choose to pay with a credit card or nominate an account. This is subject to terms and conditions on the reverse of your Debit Success contract.
How do I use the lab as part of my Urban Crew membership?
Urban Crew members must go through an Induction before the use the lab. Use of the lab is subject to availability. Exercise sessions are for an hour only and can only be booked on the hour not on the half hour. Exercise sessions must be booked 24 hours in advance. There is a limit of a single one hour session per member per day.
What is the induction?
The induction will be an hour in duration and is conducted by an exercise physiologist (EP). A health screen form will need to be filled out prior to having the induction. During the induction the EP will calculate and measure such things as resting blood pressure, resting HR, height, weight and body fat %. This will enable them to personalise an exercise program for you and show you how to safely perform each prescribed exercise.
I have used a gym before, why do I have to I have to do the induction?
Urban Climb and the Lab love to see results and see our climbers excel and reach their goals. Going through an induction will insure you as a climber get the best possible program for your specific needs and goals. All exercise physiologists are university degree qualified in exercise science and have the knowledge to customize a program that takes into consideration your exercise history, injuries and goals.
How do I get my free guest pass each month?
Each month Urban Crew members are entitled to receive a free guest pass. The free guest pass is for entry only. This can be collected by asking at the front counter on the night you bring your guest along. A note will be put down on your account that you have used your free guest pass for that month.
